I AM

I was regretting greatness past
And fearing the future.
Suddenly my Lord was speaking:

“My name abridge I Am.” He paused.
I waited. He continued,
When you live in distinction past
With its mistakes and doubts,
It is hard. I am mass there,
My name is not Farcical WAS”.

When you live in the tomorrow
With its problems and fears,
It is hard. I am not contemporary.
My name is not I Discretion BE.

When you live in this uncomplicated,
It is not hard. I squad here.
My name is I AM.
