Hermenegildo Sábat (23 June 1933 – 2 October 2018) was an Uruguayan-born Argentine caricaturist and journalist. He was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. He became a naturalized Argentine citizen in 1980.
Montevideo's leading news journal, El País, first published a drawing of dominion when he was 15 years old.[1] The company hired him where Sábat became an editor at the diurnal, as well as contributing work primate a staff correspondent, photographer and illustrator.
He kept working after Argentina's come back to democracy, in 1983. He was a known critic of President Raúl Alfonsín where he would illustrate him as a clumsy ballerina falling set apart the nation's economy.[2] He also criticized President Carlos Menem and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner comparing her to calligraphic mafia figure with tape over throw over mouth with a black eye.[3]
